Cache Cup (July 2013)

Tsunami takes Gold at the Cache Cup.  Last year the girls won silver and they really wanted a gold!  They played so great!  They won the first two games by a LONG way..  Lost the 3rd 1 to 0 then beat that same team in the Championship 3 to 1.  AWESOME!!! The loss became their first loss in 20 games!

Tay was a captain at the championship game
Giving a cheer before the game!
Jill and her kids came to one of the games.  MaeMae is SO cute!! Thanks so much for the awesome support.  Grandma came to the Championship game!

LOVE this photo taken during the championship game!!  The night before the game was the celebration of Kenton Reynolds 14th birthday!  We were invited to his party and Tay had "Team Kenton" written on her arms.
Tay, Whit and Voni at Kenton's party.  Special thanks to Deb and Luke Reynolds who through their grief have taught teenage kids the appropriate way to grieve and the importance of celebrating life!  They are so unselfish that while their heart aches from missing their own boy they can embrace and love his friends!  AMAZING and healing!
3 of my favorite girls EVER!!!

 Halftime talk!

Ed has a post game cheer that is AWESOME!!
At the last tournament the Dad promised dancing if the girls won Gold so at this tournament it was the Mom's turn!  We were much better dancers!!
This photo is out of order.  Girls waiting between games!  love them!
Before the medal ceremony the girls all signed a ball to give to the other team.  Kind of cool!
 Medals:)
Love these two!  Tay and Lucy
 Tay, Wilk, Harry and Sadie
Tsunami Mommies!  This group of ladies are some of my favorite people ever!  I spend A LOT of time with them and love and appreciate all of them!  So blessed to raise girls with them!
PS  It had been pouring rain, thus my hair!
Tay and Maya, they both won gold in different divisions
Ken's team Malosi won Silver.  They are in the yellow!  Ken is the first yellow jersey on the back row! Love her!

Tsunami started a few years ago and has worked its way up the ranks.  This was a big deal for these girls to accomplish this and they were excited!  Most of the girls are good friends with many of the players from a team called Logan Lynx.  We often play in tournaments together and we love them!  They were playing for Gold in their division so after the ceremony we headed over to watch their game.  Well.. they lost a tough close game.  Our girls were still wearing their medals..  They all brought them over to us (parents) and asked us to hold them.  They didn't want their friends on the Lynx to feel worse so they took them off.  Their friends feelings were more important than their accomplishments.  What good girls!  Probably doesn't seem like a big deal but it was very touching!!  Love those Tsunami girls!
