Wedding Pictures

Our Wedding day was very special.  We were blessed to have both of our families and many of our friends.  I have the most supportive extended family with some traveling far (Karen and Wade, thanks!!).  Jeff’s family and friends are incredible and many of his friends came from great distances.

Holli Evans took our photos and she is SO talented.  She did such an incredible job and I was SO happy with our pictures.  She took nearly 600 pictures.  The following are a few of my favorite!

My Bishop performed the ceremony.  Bishop Brown talked about creating a peaceful home grounded in the gospel.  He took most of his comments from The Family:  A Proclamation to the World.  He was so thoughtful and definitely brought the spirit to our wedding.  It was so tender for me because he has been the BEST Bishop and truly touched my life.  His wife is also one of my best friends AND his oldest daughter is Taylor’s best friend.  All of the Brown kids have a special place in my heart! Every time Heather or I talk about the possibility of us moving and Taylor and Brytan not going to school together we cry… So, we just quit talking about it!

These are my 3 best friends ever..  I was so happy all of them ever able to be with me that day.  We were laughing so hard that we really couldn’t get a decent picture.  We take a photo like this at every wedding.. Don’t ask!

Jeff and I had an incredible day and were extremely grateful and overwhelmed by everyone’s love.  Special thanks to my Mom and Dad who made the whole event happen!  We love you and are blessed to have you are parents!!

Just a few things…

In all of the business of the past month I left out one of my favorite events in the past few weeks.  Jordan’s class had a patriarchal program shortly after President’s Day. You have all heard me rave about Jordan’s teacher.  I truly love her.  I am the head room mom and have seriously considered it a blessing to work with her.  She carries such an incredible spirit and I feel blessed that Jord is in her class.

The program started with the entire first grade walking in the gym singing “We’re Coming to America.”  I love first grade!!

Each child had a part and they all did so well.  They sang “God Bless the U.S.A., Fifty Nifty United States and Thank You Lady Liberty.”  Mountainside is lucky enough to have one of the district’s life skills classes.  Lady Liberty was a student from that class.  They little boy in the wheelchair and his twin brother are in Jordan’s class (along with 3 other sets of twins!).  Jordan has been so tender with them!

This year has simply been wonderful!  Thank you to Mrs. White.  I was doing Jord’s hair getting ready for school the other day and she said, “First grade is awesome!”

I also wanted to add a picture of “crazy sock day.”  How cute!
