New York City Day 2 (May 23)

I actually think this was Day 1 in New York.  We met this street performer and he would make up a rap about the kids.  He was so funny!  Mitchy doesn't look too enthused but we all loved it!

On Day 2 we went to Ground Zero and then to the NBC Studios.  Both of these experiences were AWESOME!  Completely different but both really great!

Ground Zero was amazing because it happened in my lifetime.    It happened in all of our children's lifetimes except for Jordan.  Mitchy and Taylor were babies but everyone had a memory.  It was a sobering and amazing experience.  So grateful my children could see it.

There are only a few events in the course of your ones life that will completely change the course of history.  That will completely change the way human beings live, work and travel from day to day and 9/11 is one of them.

 First Tower

It was super interesting to see the names of people, what department they worked in and where they were from.

Here we are in front of the Survivor tree at ground zero.  It is so amazing to me that this tree remains standing.

 Second Tower

After Ground Zero we ate and went right to the NBC Studios.  We had a blast.  The security was really tight and you were not allowed to take photos inside.  I did get a few photos outside and in the gift shop.  We saw where they film Saturday Night Live and Sunday Night Football.  We also saw make up rooms and Mitch got to be an anchor on TV which was hilarious!!

How cute are my kids??  Seriously!!
