I knew when I began this blogging effort my biggest challenge would be keeping my blog current. So here I am having not posted for two weeks and so much has happened. I will try to catch everyone up!!
This is the 24th of July. We went to the parade in Logan then later that evening went to my Mom’s house for dinners and some back yard fireworks. I love getting together with everyone. It was especially fun because Jen and her family were able to join us. The kids loved the fireworks and we had a great day!!
I had bronchitis and was sooo sick so sweet Jeff showed up the next day and took my kids and his to Bear Lake for the rest of the weekend. Thank you Jeff. I am so lucky to have found you!!
Next big outing was our annual Lagoon trip. As usual we had a blast. Everything seems a little more meaningful than usual as this is the last summer we will have Chase (Jeff oldest son) at home. He is headed off to Virginia Tech in one week. He has been such a blessing in my life and I will miss him SO much! The day was awesome. The only not so great part.. I dropped my cell phone off the top of Wicked.. Thats what I get for trying to talk to Ryan while on the way up!
As 2009 is Taylor’s year of firsts she went on Wicked! So did Regan.. Check her out down there, she looks so tiny. She did not say a word the entire time. I love Reg’s personality so much!
Finally! Raspberry Days. Check out Kim and Jill’s posts for better pictures. Everyone was in the parade but I left my camera at the cabin.. I know, I will never win Mother of the Year award. On Saturday, Jeff ran the 5k and did great! So did Lance, Shea, Jill, Kim, Hunter and Ryker! Way to go everyone. Julie, Michon, Colin, Brent and Troy hung out with us on Saturday! Have I mentioned I have the best family ever??
Mitchy got a air soft gun from the cousins as an early birthday gift so he could play along. I LOVE the beach at Bear Lake as it holds some of my favorite childhood and adult memories. Its the only place I know where kids can play for 8 hours straight and not get bored. Grandpa set up the island and the kids played out there with him forever. Thank you Mom and Dad for giving us such wonderful opportunities!
Raspberry Days usually means that summer is coming to an end. This always brings mixed feelings. I love Fall and the structure of school. This has been an incredible summer!!
