Annual Lagoon Trip

It is NO secret that Lagoon is not my favorite destination.  However, I will admit this year was different.  Maybe it was that the kids were a little older, who know? I actually enjoyed myself this year and DID NOT bribe any small children into leaving early.  In fact, Lance got called on the wrecker which left Jill, myself and ALL the kids with one car!  Thank you to Grandma for coming to get us!!

Jord and Manni were BEST FRIENDS that day!  Thank heavens!  I love this photo!  They don't often do this anymore!
Ken and Reag on the sky ride
Andrew's 1st trip to Lagoon!  He as so thrilled and followed Ryker everywhere!  He was not afraid of ANYTHING!  It was so fun to have him!  He stayed until the place closed!!  What a kid!!
Jord and Manni are on this ride somewhere!

All in the this Lagoon trip was awesome!  Still now my favorite place but totally bearable.  What a fun tradition for the kids!  At the beginning of every summer they want to know when the Lagoon trip is!

Mountainside Youth Leadership Group (July 24, 2013)

Jordan is participating in the Mountainside Youth Leadership group for this school year (2013-14).  The group composed of 4th and 5th graders who are nominated by their teachers for being good examples and making good choices.  Her group rode in the July 24th parade in Mendon and Grandpa and Grandma were awesome enough to drive the tow truck!

Jord and Ali ready to start the parade!!
After the parade the kids sold school shirts and treats at the carnival!  It really was VERY fun!  These are great kids!

The kids also participated in the "fireman's hose down" which was so great!!@
Jord and Lauren SOAKING wet!

I am so excited that I get to be the parent representative for this awesome group of kids!  I am so pumped to spend time with Jord while she participates in this!  It is going to be a great year!  Love my Jord!

Cache Cup (July 2013)

Tsunami takes Gold at the Cache Cup.  Last year the girls won silver and they really wanted a gold!  They played so great!  They won the first two games by a LONG way..  Lost the 3rd 1 to 0 then beat that same team in the Championship 3 to 1.  AWESOME!!! The loss became their first loss in 20 games!

Tay was a captain at the championship game
Giving a cheer before the game!
Jill and her kids came to one of the games.  MaeMae is SO cute!! Thanks so much for the awesome support.  Grandma came to the Championship game!

LOVE this photo taken during the championship game!!  The night before the game was the celebration of Kenton Reynolds 14th birthday!  We were invited to his party and Tay had "Team Kenton" written on her arms.
Tay, Whit and Voni at Kenton's party.  Special thanks to Deb and Luke Reynolds who through their grief have taught teenage kids the appropriate way to grieve and the importance of celebrating life!  They are so unselfish that while their heart aches from missing their own boy they can embrace and love his friends!  AMAZING and healing!
3 of my favorite girls EVER!!!

 Halftime talk!

Ed has a post game cheer that is AWESOME!!
At the last tournament the Dad promised dancing if the girls won Gold so at this tournament it was the Mom's turn!  We were much better dancers!!
This photo is out of order.  Girls waiting between games!  love them!
Before the medal ceremony the girls all signed a ball to give to the other team.  Kind of cool!
 Medals:)
Love these two!  Tay and Lucy
 Tay, Wilk, Harry and Sadie
Tsunami Mommies!  This group of ladies are some of my favorite people ever!  I spend A LOT of time with them and love and appreciate all of them!  So blessed to raise girls with them!
PS  It had been pouring rain, thus my hair!
Tay and Maya, they both won gold in different divisions
Ken's team Malosi won Silver.  They are in the yellow!  Ken is the first yellow jersey on the back row! Love her!

Tsunami started a few years ago and has worked its way up the ranks.  This was a big deal for these girls to accomplish this and they were excited!  Most of the girls are good friends with many of the players from a team called Logan Lynx.  We often play in tournaments together and we love them!  They were playing for Gold in their division so after the ceremony we headed over to watch their game.  Well.. they lost a tough close game.  Our girls were still wearing their medals..  They all brought them over to us (parents) and asked us to hold them.  They didn't want their friends on the Lynx to feel worse so they took them off.  Their friends feelings were more important than their accomplishments.  What good girls!  Probably doesn't seem like a big deal but it was very touching!!  Love those Tsunami girls!

Grandma Pickett's Funeral

Grandma Pickett's funeral was truly an incredible experience.  It was honest, funny, spiritual and amazing.  It was incredible to see all of my cousins and see so many of my family members participate. My Mom, Aunt Carolyn and Aunt Wendy gave an awesome tribute to Grandma.  My Uncle Craig & Uncle Wade gave great talks and incredible prayers were given by my Uncle Brad, Uncle Blake and Lance.  All of my "boy cousins" were pal bearers and it was wonderful.  Grandma would have LOVED it!!!

The  Great Grandkids all sang "I am a Chid of God" and it was beautiful!  Trish led the song and Megan played the piano.  What beautiful kids!

Grandma's funeral was held in the church she always attended.  It was the same church I went to my entire childhood.  Truly great memories there.  What an incredible Spirit we felt that day!
Scott, Brett, Judd, Troy, Brian, Ryan, Lance, Kevin and Jeff

Sweet Reg!

What an incredible legacy of family Grandma and Grandpa Pickett leave behind.  I consider myself blessed to part of such an incredible family!

Happy Birthday Jord! 9 years old!!

Happy Birthday Jord!  Jord turns 9 today.  As Kim would say "Jord is pure delight!"  Jordan is SO tender and funny.  She is absolutely enjoyable!  Jord has had a big year!  She grew up so much from 8 to 9 that I can hardly stand it.  It actually breaks my heart just a little!  Here are a few things about Jord in the last year...
She turned into a fasion diva..  Seriously like needs hair and fancy shoes and all!  Wonder where she got it:)  Jord is hilarious!  She is so full of one liners and her timing is incredible!
Jord was baptized and takes that responsibility very seriously.  She attend activity days and LOVES it!  Here she is at her "Princess Party" wearing her baptism dress.  It helps that Kim is her activity day leader and does a fabulous job!
Jord finally got the dog she has been waiting her entire life for.  Jord LOVES all animals and specially her dog Belle.  We all actually love Belle!  In the last year our family has got a hamster, a turtle and a dog and Jordan is the caretaker for all of them!
Jord is pretty sure she is doing to teach Belle to dance.  For Halloween she wants to be a Salsa Dancer and have Belle dress up like the "boy"
Jordan LOVES the Ranch.  She would have made the perfect farm girl.  She is so good with a animals.  She loves to ride Grandpa's horses.  Grandpa set up a barrel racing course for the girls last time we were up there!  Magical!
Jord also loves her family!  She loves to take care of people and spends 99% of her free time with her family!
Jordan took dancing last year at the Edge and is taking again this year.  She has a great sense of rhythm and some serious flexibility!  Jord also feel in love with skiing this winter.  She hadn't love it (okay she hated it) but this winter she began to like it!  Yeah!
Jord LOVES these 2 girls!  These girls spent nearly all day every day together this past summer!  That is not an exaggeration!  We are so blessed that they live across the street from us! This summer Jord spent a lot of time with Aunt Kim is Bear Lake.  Kim would take the girls up for 3 or 4 days and it was times I couldn't go so Jord just hopped in the van!  Thank you Kim!
Because Jord is the youngest of 5 she sometimes lives in a rather adult world!  This Spring we went to Virginia, DC and New York and Jord was a trooper.  She really did love every second.  Here is Jord and Grandpa at ground zero.  Jord got to travel quit a bit in the last year!  As I said above all in all the spent several weeks in Bear Lake and St. George.  Jord also made a trip to the Mall of America and then our big graduation trip this Spring.
Jordan is an organizer!  She loves to organize her room, the kitchen, the dinner table, anything!!  She also loves to bake and LOVES Legos!
Jord loves this guy!  This picture is terrible but I had to add it.  It is the first day of school.  Now, Jord stops by Aunt Kim's house EVERY day before school and EVERY day after school.  Here is her first morning stop by of this school year!  Kinnick waits at the window for her! LOVE!
Happy Birthday to my not so little girl!  She truly is a light in our house!  Love, Love, Love my Jordie!!
